Termination
If you are working at a job and you are terminated before your 90 day probationary period are you required to put the job on your resume?

regarding your below inquiry: leaving to pursue further education is common, often well understood and respected by professionals in the field, and does not hurt you at all. it also explains the "gap" in employment.

no, but i wouldn't. . .unless your were laid off not fired. incorporate the skills you learned during that time in another section/area.

I think the rule of thumb is if a given job lasted less than 6 months then you can leave it off of your resume.

Danielle, you are not required to put anything on your resume, it is entirely at your own discretion what you decide to include. Sometimes candidates only include pertinent job experience to the job they are applying for. I wouldn't recommend this approach if that would leave gaps in employment though. Unrelated experience could be listed under "Additional Experience".

I personallly think if the skill set is relevant to the position you are seeking and although you did not finish the probation period if the job was recent I would place it on my resume look sometimes a job might not be a good fit I think as long as we learn something from that particular job good as long as we can speak positive about that experience we can be better for the next job opportunity I think

Hi Danielle: Thanks for posting to Jobcase! It's up to you if you want to put it on your resume; in fact, I'd recommend that you not, as it brings up questions about why you were terminated. What do other Jobcasers think?
You're not "required" to do anything of the sort. I've had very short term gigs in which it just didn't work out, so I don't even bother putting it on my resume. However, I DO add the skills and experience that I acquired on my resume.
