The best advice I can offer you is to always be truthfu and don't hide your past however don't let it define you either. The past is a past for a reason let it stay in the past. It's done it happened and there's nothing you can do to change it, what you are able to do is change this moment on and concentrate and focus on the good in your life and once you start doing that your self confidence will go up and that will be something that everyone notices, admires and you have to believe in yourself. Strenghts and solutions. Good luck
Hi Paul,
There are Many Many people who have reinvented themselves after making some bad decisions in the past. I found a link that will lead you to your rainbow of change. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=recreating+your+life+after+a+felony I suggest finding mentors. A mentor is someone who has created a better life for themselves that inspire you. Johnny Cash was in prison and he rose above it. The work really needs to be done on your invisible self. The inside- your thoughts and character. When you work on you the whole world around you will shift. I used to have friends that complained all the time. They were members of the "Ain't it awful club." I changed me and my friends changed to positive successful people.
You have so much going for you. Your self-esteem needs to be repaired. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes and have things we regret doing.
I really want you to listen to Jack Cainfield on Youtube too. The Success Principals. I bought the CD series and It has been a phenomenal life changer.
I want you to get a note pad too and start a gratitude book. That is a book that captures all the good around you. It can be big things like I am so grateful for the roof over my head or small things like I am so grateful that person let me in driving or smiled at me.
When we really harness gratitude the inside of us fills up with love, compassion and joy. People love being around happy people. It creates a rippling effect that all of a sudden loads of great things appear.
You are one of a trillion people that have gone through the same plight so let it go.
You are in a new day and it is a do over.
Forgive yourself and just start doing your best at everything. Even taking the time to correct your grammar and capitalize letters. All of this effort will make you better and better.
"What aire thou art act well thy part." Copy that and put that in your browser to wrap your brain on this.
I don't know if you know this but every successful person I have ever met has a huge library of personal development books and cc's. Now we can listen to them on Youtube for free. They change our thoughts which change our lives.
As a man Thinketh so he is. So think yourself favorably and see the good stuff and turn a blind eye to the bad.
I wish you much success!!!! Just hold on to that you are an EXCEPTIONAL worker and just do it!!! Things will get great!!!
