Treated unfairly

Well I was employed at this job since Oct. When I entered the job the other Worker had left so basically I was put directly in the position. I explained that I suffer from migraine headache. Well I had to take off due to a migraine well when I received my check my commission and salary was both cut due to my condition. My check was short basically 200. So i put in a two week notice and they said that's fine u can leave now. .whats you'll take?

Do you have this in writing or did you just trust them on good faith? I know exactly what it is like to be discriminated against and I really feel for you. Contact an attorney if you can afford one. I tried legal aid and got nowhere. Good luck. Let me know what happens.

Keywanda,

I'm sorry about your job loss, but it seems as if you left without requesting this time off in black and white? If that's the case, and you just left on your own because of your migraines, unfortunately it's considered job abandonment regardless of how big or small the action of your exit was in that moment. In any at-will state, an employer can terminate you for any reason anytime. If you had requested this time off, this might've been different.

All you can do now is move on, and I suggest that should you acquire new employment you may want to talk to a doctor to control your migraines so this doesn't affect your work or the environment. Good luck!
