I come on this site and read how some really decent and qualified people can't find a job.. and the S and P Index is up I read how people in their late 40's and 50's have lost their jobs and have kids to feed. And Wall Street just set another record. I learn how people have done all the right things and have been unemployed for years in cases. But the latest job stats say unemployment is at the lowest rate in 17 years. What's up? Am I missing something? I have neighbors that have been underemployed for years but when I hear the news it says something that is different from my reality. I have friends in other parts of the country and they see the same things I do...so what is the truth? I am confused.
