Quitting in a RAGE

I just read a story about a flight attendant who quit his job after 20 years with JetBlue. He asked a man to sit down during landing and the guy told him to “F-off.” I guess that was the straw that broke the camel’s back, because he went to the intercom, cussed out the passenger, and quit. He ripped off his tie, took a beer, and hit the emergency exit button - and slid down the emergency slide!

I’m not sure it was wise, but what a way to go!

Yeah, I would like to hear if he found a job after that... Quitting in a moment of spontaneity might sound good, but more than likely it's going to make it hard to find another job.

Still, that's pretty funny!

That's awesome! I wonder if someone recorded it and put it on YouTube. After that I would look for another career. One that doesn't involve the public. Hell, if I had a job to offer, I would hire him!

All he did was validate that job stress leads to career burn out. Any people oriented job like police, teacher, cashier, food service worker is going to catch up with you during thoes 20+ yrs. He'll get another job, but I think that it's not going to be dealing with the public.
