Mobile ordering
So I like to use Dunkin’ Donuts’ mobile app to get coffee in the morning, and I love it. So when I heard McDonald’s was bringing a similar system I wanted to try it. I have used their system twice. The first time I ordered a Big Mac meal to be picked up inside. They had a special 4 digit code for the order that seemed to confuse the employee when he was running it to the counter. Besides that everything worked well, but I don’t know if it really saved any time.
Second time I chose curbside, so they brought it out to my car for me. It was pretty quick honestly, so maybe they got the system down with practice. Only thing was I asked for no pickles on my two cheeseburgers and they had pickles on them. Not a huge deal, it happens. Overall it seems like a cool system. I’m glad they’re finally getting with the times. Anyone else have any experience with it?

Is there any job fair in NY/NJ area?

I can't help but feel for the employees who work there having people in line to "serve" and also take orders from that app. It reminded me of when I was in retail waiting on someone at the counter and expected to also do customer service when the phone rings. Multi tasking is great in some cases but you can't help 2-3 customers at once! It all depends on how busy they are but is that even taken into account? AT All?

I've never used a mobile app to order food. I'm sure it works great, I'm an "old head", love that face-to-face!

I have used the system several times in the area that I'm in the problem I see is all the restaurants around me are franchise restaurants and the franchisee hasn't properly trained the crew to know what a difference between the online order the in restaurant app order and walking up to the counter in ordering the only mainly rolled it out into restaurants in my area the other ones have half-heartedly participated by only letting you order and pick it up through the drive-thru the other issue they're having with the app is because of their new policy of we don't make it to you order it the app only allows you to pay for the item when you're in the parking lot of the restaurant hints that negates the whole point of pre-ordering on the app cuz it's not going to be ready for you still going to wait it's just the same as if you went through the drive-thru or ordered at the counter

I haven't used any mobile ordering apps for either Dunks or McDonald's. I usually find going in is quick enough, but it's nice they are modernizing their ordering process. I'm going to tag Lesa Williams , William Tamashiro and Lori Bodendorf who might be interested/be able to shed some more insight!
