I was sad to hear of Caroll Spinney's passing (big bird) and simultaneously appreciative and inspired by his life.
He was a great example of not giving up on finding purposeful work. Caroll Spinney found his around age 36. He clearly lived a meaningful life and will be missed. “Before I came to ‘Sesame Street,’ I didn’t feel like what I was doing was very important,” Spinney said when he announced his retirement in 2018. “Big Bird helped me find my purpose.” Its never too late to find yours.
