What do I do?
OK, I was hired at Village Inn for a server position. I started last Tues. Everything was going well until I came into work Sunday morning and my manager asked me, "What happened to you yesterday? " I was confused at first until I said, "Do you mean when I punched out?" He said, "Yes. You didn't tell me you were leaving and you didn't tell your trainer either. You just left. " I said, "No, you were at the bank. I clocked out and just to be sure I did so correctly, I went to my trainer with my ticket (that prints out when u clock out, ) and asked her to double check it. She said that I had punched out correctly. So I said, Ok, have a good night! Ill see you tomorrow!" He said, "No, she said you didnt say a word to her, u just left!" I said, "Bullshit. Check the cameras to see whose lying. " He then proceeded to send me home for the day and said he would call me later that afternoon. Ooooookkkkkk.... Fine. So this is my "punishment" I guess. Well, it's now Thursday and he hasn't bothered to call me. I don't want to call and piss him off or call his boss and create a hostile work environment, but at the same time, this is ridiculous! I need to know if I still have a job? I've never experienced this behavior from a boss before, so I'm unsure what to do? What do y'all think? Thanks for ur input!

i am so sorry that happend to you if u ever need to talk you can messgae me.once again i am so sorry for what happend to you r u ok?

Find a real job, they are obviously messed up!

You can sue them for not having a reason thats unlawful

You probably don't. And if they do call you back it's going to be so they can fire you with documentation. I would look for another job.

Do you really want to work for someone who treats you like that? Find another job-you will be healthier for it.

What a butt hole...can you email him? That way you will have a communication trail...good luck..

Call and find out what the story is. If they did fire you, tell them you want the reason in writing, as you want to have a record of it.

Call. It's your responsibility to know. And if they DID give u the axe, it's better to know now, the in two weeks when ur paycheck don't come. Find out, and go from there...

You seriously need to go over his head because you did nothing wrong for him to already put cuts in your schedule.
Wow...that was weird! So I think you need to call and follow up with them, because you need to know if u are still employed or need to be looking for something else. By the way.. did the manager check the cameras?
