I worked there prior to 911 being installed and I understand they most always have more than one dispatcher on duty now but I'm sure they still have quite a work load so I would have to say I hope your nerves are in good condition and that you can condition yourself to deal with some emotional,hectic times without breaking down and crying yourself because if you can make yourself handle it there is no better feeling than going home knowing you saved lives and helped people. And you also have to be able to deal with the hurt of the ones you couldn't help. It's tough but worth it overall
