Is it worth it?

My current job use to be just 10min drive to get to, they have relocated to a new town which is 82 miles of drive everyday and its only $10.00 with no benfits and no pay brake times. I have spend more on gas alone then bills just to go to work everyday. Is it time to look for a better paying job that is close to home?? I also live in a state where the weather and roads are bad during the winter time.

Yes, but look farther. Was it a promotion, did they think you would move for the opportunity, or do you feel they are managing you out? E.g. are they making you feel it's not worth it to drive that far.

$10 an hour with no benefits? I say look for another job. Or move closer.

I was offered a job with a similar situation, more money but a 1hr 15min drive. It looked good on paper but after doing the math and the fact gas always goes up in the summer here in Tx I turned it down. Hold your head up and be patient you'll find something.

Definitely look for a new job. It's illegal for them to not give you your paid 12 min breaks if you work a full 8 hours. Even 6 hours requires a minimum of 30 min lunch (unpaid) and one 12 minute paid break. You should contact the department of labor, you can get back pay or longer breaks for all of the time you have not gotten your minimum breaks required by federal law. Plus the company is subject to massive fines. May not be massive to the company but it accumulates, especially if they find out other employees have been denied their breaks too.
