EPIC Certification
I'm looking to become EPIC Certified. I have been trained but unable to become certified. Yes, I have reached out and researched schools but if I get that sign in the pit of my stomach, I discontinue with the entire process. I have 7 years of EPIC training. I'm desperately wanting to obtain my certification. This will allow me to be able to take travel assignments or excellent local assignments. I've asked before and very, very adamant to asking again: Does anyone have ANY knowledge or helpful road maps for EPIC Certification? I truly appreciate a helping hand in this for 2017. Thank you All in advance!

Your facility has to send you to training

When we went to EPIC I enrolled for Super User training cause I worked nights and we were kinda on our own and there were times I had to call the help desk and I knew more than the "certified" trainers. Used it for 4 years. Didn't know they had a school. Figured it was on the job training. Good luck

You can do it if you put your mind and heart to it.

The certification is proprietary. They are only train people at Epic intergalactic University in Veronai, Wisconsin.

I feel your pain I have my certification in School Counseling and can't get a job here in the state Va. I moved here two years ago from NYC can't get my license until practice for two years. However, I can I get a job in a schoo So my certification will expired in August 2017. I have to reapply for a new one to hold it again for another 5 years until I find a job.

If you have not been to Epic to take classes you cannot be certified. Years of eperence does not cover the classes. I had 8 years in epic working and it does not figure into the classes

You should reach out to epic itself( if you already haven't) they don't take personal applications and you may want to look into finding a hospital or other facility that employs epic (they usually send their staff to Verona for the certification)

PLEASE go on the website and put in were can I obtain my certification and trust me.it will lead you in a position that a name or a phone number will come up .Just try n keep me posted.good luck

TaTaniah,
It sounds like you obtain your EPIC training through your employer. Based on what I have read, to get certification , you need hands-on training. If you were trained by an employer, you already meet on of the requirements. You just need your employer to state that it wants to sponsor you for EPIC certification to EPIC in Wisconsin. Next, you have take specific exams for specific modules. Epic certification is module specific.
I am in the same predicament most hospital jobs use EPIC is there any other way to get trained in EPIC for discharge planning I am interested in learning this.
