Discouraged
I just finished doing my Hands-On training and classes for medical assisting an having the darndest time trying to find an externship I've done my online classes pd100 A&B and I do have a certificate for CPR. Even with previous experiences with in-home care and nursing homes and also I'm feeling a bit discouraged. A career change is what I needed so I wouldn't have to have multiple jobs so I can spend more time with my family, a stable support system for my family, and self sufficient for me, but I do have a past. I was a dumb kid. But working really hard to get my good to put way my bad; an finding out that that is easier said then done. I can walk with my class and graduate in time if I can just get busy with my new talent. Any pointers out there for the ones trying to change and make a difference in their communities?

I am on indeed had several jobs but there hour away

Shondeia, I live in your area. Try indeed.com

Your school that you attended should have externship placement assistance and programs up and running. Check in with them. Or, maybe try a smaller medical clinic, if they are interested or your prior home-care employer? Wishing Good Luck with this.

Can you get the record expunged? Sometimes the courts will wipe out your record, depending on time & clean record. Good luck. It can be difficult to uplift your life but think long range and it can work.

Try care.com( elderly, families, and kids), sitter.com, babysitter. Com, and social services. Com. Are you researching paid extern/internships? I would go so far as to put your name/contact info on college bulletin boards to contact you if they know of any of the above! Volunteer somewhere to fulfill actual working experience and maybe they can get you in for an intern/externship!???

I went through it too but don't be discouraged things work out for u believe in Jesus he work it out I'm in the world but Jesus look if u have faith it's done

Try Dignity Health. There are hospitals in Woodland and SF

Unfortunately, depending what was on your record, could possible still hurt you.You might want to look into community programs that need healthcare assistant or even reach out to the career services at your school.
