Frustrated

I had two separate phone interviews, two separate in-person interviews and for the same company. Two weeks ago I was verbally given one of the two positions. Two days later the talent advisor called and said that the position was going to a temp agency. Today an email was sent to me stating that the verbal job offer was rescinded due to reference and background checks. I called and emailed back asking what exactly happened as I know for a fact my reference checks are immaculate. It can’t be my background check as I have no criminal record. I am a permanent resident and legal to work.

So far no response from the company. And very frustrated and getting depressed. Thankfully I have a loving husband that has income.

God definitely has something else for you. I can't say for sure, but you probably don't want to work for a company operating like that anyways. Be Blessed.

Just move on. Forget about them, the conversation/ interview, etc... After typing about this within the jobcase forum, let it go! If you dont, true depression will set in! Remind yourself of the positive( the employed hubbie, shelter, clothing, food, etc...)! Housekeeper. Com, sitter.com, babysitter. Com, care. Com, eldercare.com too! If you love pets, wag.com, pet sitter. Com, and rover. Com. Doordash. Com/instacart.Com to deliver groceries if you have a car! Glass door. Com for office positions, and joblistify. Com for whatever they offer!/what about work from home? Convergys. Com for customer service, sykes, Aetna, apple, and Hilton hotel aa reservation specialist! There are more work from home jobs, so make a separate post requesting work from home info. Thank God you have an understanding hubbie( truly get on your knees and praise God!), and he isnt abusive to you) physical, mental)!

There was a good reason you didn't get that particular job. Keep faith. God will deliver. Don't give up!

Keep your chin up. Just be thankful you didn't relocate for a, "Job/Career" and have the offer rescinded after the Relo. Be careful people as this practice seems to be more the norm these days.

I've seen someone post a comment to what i'm commenting here. But looking at the information you provided. It seems to me there are three likely possibilities which I'll list in order of most likely to least. First it sounds like you've applied to a very large company which isn't in communication with everyone. It could be the job was offer to someone's family member or friend and whom ever had the job lined who never sent the message that it had been filled. So then the recruiter or hiring agent. offered you the job only to find out a mistake was made and they had to cover there butts by sending out something didn't come back right. The second likely situation comes from they were interviewing x number of candidates. the person that were doing the hiring told you . you had the job in a verbal form. But do to the hiring process still had other candidates to interview. And they found someone more qualified or like a person who had interviewed better than what they did with your interview. and since it was just a verbal agreement. they had no reason to be legally bound to that agreement with you. The three thing which seems unlikely is that it is a reference or some issue with a pervious company. If you have something like this happen again. I'd have someone you closely trust contact these references pretending to be a certain company and review the information that your references give you. It is a tad under handed and a bit dirty. But, as someone told me long ago. all is fair in love, as in war. and if someone agreed to be a reference and they are doing you dirty. then i think it's justifiable to use whatever legal method you could to sniff out a rat.

Hi Tanya...I know sometimes these interviews can be frustrating....Please keep a positive note on everything...maybe there is a reason why you didn't get it and God has something else install for you. Just keep looking and you will get that job.

If an employer doesn’t hire you specifically because of something on your BG check, by law they have to notify you of this in writing And explain why and provide you with the report. There may be an error on your report that you’ll need to fix. I would write to them and provide a copy of the law they are violating (adverse action notification) and ask them to please reply with the notification. You may want to contact An employment lawyer first or do it on their own. You need to understand that not all companies know all the laws and not all companies follow the law. Just because a company is in existence doesn’t mean they do everything by the book. You also need to understand that there can be mistakes on your background and credit reports. It’s easy to check your credit report and every adult should be smart and check that every once in awhile. Also I’ve noticed that most people respond to questions on this site with dumb ass not helpful Answers. So maybe in addition to reaching out to a bunch of people who are going to tell stupid sh:t you should google your answer.

I'd contact the EEOC. So, many interviews and job offer and then told yuou didn't pass background check? But if you have bad credit that could walk you straight out of a job.
