Manager
I've been a manager for several businesses and have now had problems getting jobs at simple places like Taco Bell and such because I've been told I am over qualified for the position that I am applying to. How do I avoid these unfortunate turndowns and land a job? I really need to work and I don't care what kind of job I get.

I am having a very similar problem. I have noticed that some companies are threatened by experienced professionals. They are leaning toward kids right out of school so they can "mold" them. It is infuriating because many of those young people don't really even want to work. I have started using words such as responsible, loyal, dependable instead of experienced. I feel your pain. Somewhere out there is a company that appreciates I am so confused what you hav to offer. Good luck.
Im having the same problem too. Ive been a GM for 25 years. Which means we've been , done, experienced many things. Now a days, ive been applying for just simple jobs as HR, admin. No one is interesting in me.
They feel im over qualified. Or im just too old. I don't know.
