Tutor without ESL credentials
I taught ESL from 1994 to about 2004 for extra cash, but never made a career out of it. Should I at the late age of 47? I have native fluency in spoken Mandarin and have a 9th grade reading level in Chinese.

ABSOLUTELY! I just finished classes to earn my ESL endorsement and most job/districts are REQUIRING this - your age is NO limit! You will find MANY MANY opportunities out there! Go for it!
