Image Problem
Know why more people prefer to take on a $40,000 white collar job over a $70,000 blue collar job? Image!! I disagree. I think the biggest issue is lack of awareness and access to training. I never knew a Welder, for example, could earn upwards of $90,000 per year. Nobody sold me on a Welding career in High School.
