I feel that certain jobs should do away with the question of have you been convicted of a felony on job applications. I served four years in federal prison for distribution of drugs. While incarcerated I worked hard on myself taking substance abuse programs and behavior modification programs. I really learned alot of myself and truly changed. However one thing that has not changed is the fact that most employers will not hire someone with a past record. I understand that some people will never change because they do not want to but there are those like myself that do and are still not given a chance. Could this be why the recidivism rate is so high? I'm just saying!
