Why i got fired...
I was at work. My mental condition wouldn't allow me to concentrate on my work because I had just got evicted over b.s. and lost my boyfriend of 3 yrs. They sent me home so I could move my things into storage. When I called back to go back to work they said they didn't need me at the time to try to call back at the end of summer...is that messed up?

Joyce May God Bless You and Keep You Safe and Warm.
You are in The right place everyone on Jobcase is so Sweet and has gone through something similar.
Good Luck You are Loved by the most High

Yes, that's messed up alright. Compassion for our fellow persons seems to be at a low point. Move on from that job, find another job, boyfriend and a place to live. Talk to your friends and family. This situation is temporary and you will and can get through it. Good luck

Are you kidding?? Isn't it more messed up that you take your personal issues to your job???

Yes it is but in my state it's a right to work state which means either party can quit or eliminate you at any time for whatever reason!! If ur absence put a burden on that department they can say they needed a more stable employee!! That was very dependable.

So messed up
Joyce I'm sorry you are going through this. Everyone here has offered great advice and I want to piggy back on some of those tips. I hope you are doing well and have support. How is your mental health? It's not easy getting help but it can help you sort out some of these things and give you tools to keep things separate so you can focus at work and getting things done. Take this time to get your house in order and make a plan for going back to work. Getting stable housing and getting healthy is your priority now. Also plan for in case you need to look for a new job. Try looking at developing a new skill or strengthening one you already have. It does feel messed up as you might feel your job is your support system but they are only there for business. There are different avenues to be your support for your personal life. I can relate to your situation as I went through this over the summer when my life fell apart. I had to take this time to look at what parts of my character would continue this pattern and what I could change to function outside of my depression. I wish you well and hope everything works out in your favor.
