Registered Medical Assistant

I am recently unemployed. I am having difficulty even finding part time employment. Unfortunately, I am of the age that I apparently am not what the workforce is looking for; I fear that my resume shows that the experience I have requires a high salary. That would be nice but not necessarily my first consideration. I apply day after day.. only 3 calls... Trying to hold on, but getting discouraged:(

Hi Marianne: Don't get discourage. Job searching is hard, especially in the medical field. Since you have experience, try applying to other positions such as clinical support associate or clinical tech. Now a days, the skills that you have as a medical assistant can transfer to a new position.

Hi Marianne, Know that you are definitely not alone in feeling this. Unfortunately there are many other Jobcasers that have this problem. I would suggest only going back 10 years on your resume if possible. This can help not to date you. Also, we have seen suggestions to not include graduation years on your education. I would also suggest making follow up calls to any company you apply at. With that in mind, here are some medical assistant jobs I found in your area.

Good luck, and keep us all updated on how everything goes!!
