I need some advise
I worked for a EMS bilingual customer service/AR company. I never got along with my manager and after my probation time (4 months) she did everything she could to advise the CEO to let me go. She used a very poor example- I didn't follow procedures which she hardly ever trained me and I thought I did what I was supposed to do as part of my job. This job would be great in my resume even though it was only for 4 months, but I cannot put my manager as reference because she would not give me a good one...I don't what to do or what to say in an interview if they ask abt why I was let go....help please!!

It might depend on the state you live in, but in Kansas you are not allowed to say anything unflattering about a former employee.

Be honest and tell the potential employer that there was tension between you two and youre afraid shed not be a good reference say youre a hard worker and if you have a former coworker use them as a reference instead.

I know who you are and am willing to help you personally. I would be honest but give the manager charity. You worked in a very challenging position due to changing compliance rules, and you can bring up some of the basics of what was involved. If you are willing to contact me at frankandwynnejacobson@gmail.com I might be able to go into more detail.

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you Angelica! I, of course, agree that you don't want that manager as a reference. I would continue to use the references you've been using on applications and only have this most recent employer for contact so they can confirm you worked there. Definitely include the info on your resume though - it's experience! If you're asked about it during an interview, just be courteous in your response. Something such as "poor environment for personal success" or something like that. Don't be negative toward your manager, but let them know it just wasn't a good fit. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck as you look for something better!
Don't let this keep u down. Keep this experience in mind and know u did all you could.
