Preschool Teacher at Kiddie Academy

I would not recommend someone to work at #KiddieAcademy because

I worked for the corporate location for 5 months. It started off fine, I really loved my coworkers they were awesome and great with the kids. I found out I was pregnant two months in so I asked the director for just 3 more hours to be full time so I could have insurance for myself and my baby. Instead I was told no,and my hours were dropped to about 20 a week. I approached management to ask for more hours again since my husband was laid off and we were struggling. No help, but that's ok cuz I know its not their job. But two weeks later I was by myself in a classroom and I stopped the assistant director to ask if I could use the bathroom (the baby was kicking my bladder so I was miserable) and she told me no, that she was about to break the infant teachers and didn't have time. It was an hour and a half before someone let me use the restroom. That same week we had a 4 year old boy who had a tantrum meltdown, during this time he's kicking me as hard as he can, scratching me with his nails, and punching me in the stomach. I was told to just stand still and be calm by both directors, both knowing I'm pregnant and watching him hit my stomach. Shortly after that we had a student in the 4s class who was a handful just no discipline. At nap she was standing on the tables and screaming and throwing chairs at sleeping students. I was told to take her out to the playground to talk to her mom on the phone, she went outside but refused to talk to her mom. So when I told her we had to go inside to be with the class and calm down she saod no and ran to the soccer field and refused to budge. Mind you, I'm not allowed to touch her which is fine, but it was 102 degrees outside, there was no shade and I had no water while 5 months pregnant. The director who had me stay with her went on her lunch break and I stayed with this girl outside in the heat for 2 hours before her mother came. I was sun burnt and had heat exhaustion by the time I came inside. At the staff meeting that night, the President of the company didn't even know my name when he addressed me in front of the staff when he was the one who trained me, and he worked with me in the classroom before with the same rambunctious little girl. So no, I do not recommend working for this company at all.
