company's are too fussy
I have had my CDL-A since February 2015, drive for CR England until they started miss treating me and left. I have been trying to get back on the road ever since. Every place I have tried has said you don't have enough experience, when you get it call us. I'm like and have said many times to so many, how do you expect me to get more experience if your not willing to give me a chance to prove myself? That's out requirements, I replied no, it's not. The trucking industry is letting the insurance industry dictate who you can hire. All I want is 2 things, decent home time and to have the wife along to keep me company. Too much to ask I guess.... Very frustrated right now.

To only two weeks.I am going to be an owner operator sometime next year just keep looking and negotiate better as you get your experience. Good luck

I understand your frustration with the job market. I've been there before. My recommendation is to go get experience by driving for a smaller company without so much corporate red tape. Once you have sufficient experience then step up to bigger corporate jobs.

Richard please stay a way from SWIFT they are just as bad as C.R.ENGLAND when it comes to treating there drivers with respect they don't. Try CRST, will hire anyone who WANT'S to work no matter the experience of the driver. Do you have any kind of idea of what you want to haul , tanker, flatbed reefer, dry van, Drop and Hook. Check out the internet Trucking companies . Please do your self and check them out thoroughly before you make another dumb choice. If you want O O check out Freymiller trucking. They are not a bad company . No company is going to be perfect . You have to do your homework. Good Luck

Hi Richard here are some trucking companies that will hire drivers with less than 2 years experience. Schneider, Werner, U.S. Express, Transport America. Richard how much homework did you do to check out C.R.ENGLAND not much because they have a very bad history of treating their employees like dirt they will run their drivers into the ground, their recruiters are trained to lead on new driver to believe what ever it takes to get to there company. The only why you are going to get your cake and eat it to is to put in your time and pay your dues . You can became a OWNER OPERATOR which is the best way to go if you are prepared to own your own business because that is what O O are their own business . You have to pay your own business expenses all of them . Yes you will get some help from the company that you can lease on to . Please look into the different pay options that are out there Cents Per Mile, % of the load is you get a piece of the pie. Here is a company that will put you in a truck of your choice M H C .com . Call and talk to Mike L at 1-309-787-6181. You can also find a dealership in your own area. If you would like any other advice you can email me at 6304340196si@gmail.com GOOD LUCK Happy Holidays .

their are jobs here in tn as a trucking especilly on dayton mountain hauling rock they need help to

Stay away from the lease to own companies, they sound really good to someone who feels desperate. They put you in an almost new truck ( that they sold at least once before) and promise to train you and keep you loaded. What they don't tell you is that the money loads go to the drivers that are ahead of you. In the meantime while you're waiting for a run, you have to make the truck payment ( to them), the insurance ( to them) and cover the costs of any repairs. That's why your " new " truck has some miles on it, the driver before you went broke. Right now the best bet is to drive a company rig local. They bear all the cost, including the fuel. When you save a little money, the used truck lots are full of nice rigs. I know quite a few couples that are owner/operators that feel they are being paid to see the country. Best of luck and keep on trucking.

There are a lot of trucking companies that will give you a shot and allow your wife to ride with you CR ENGLAND IS THE WORST try crst or prime inc usxpress is good too go on the wbsite truckersinjobs or ibdeed m.com don't give up and you have over a year expience I have been with crst now for 4yrs they have me a local job with only 2 months experience I'm with Ruan now and that's only because crst lost the contract and I stayed because I love my job don't give up and if you need help email me at gileskendal@gmail.com I can help you there are to many truck driving jobs for you not to be using your cdl
