Cashier at Cvs

CVS will do anything to save a dime.

You will work a skeleton crew in front of store regardless of how busy it is or what holiday season it is. That means one manager and one cashier, and as cashier that means you will be expected to take care of everything at once. Photo lab, curbside, register, anything involving the front aisles and checking in vendors will be your responsibility. Full-time at CVS is considered full-time, but they will work you 31.5 hours or cut your hours at the months end (you have to work 32 hours a week for four weeks before any benefits kick in). They do pay more than most retail jobs, but that's because you will never work 40 hours unless you are a manager or lucky enough to get a full time cashier position (which are rare). CVS is a multi-billion dollar company, but won't even give their employees a living wage. I don't recommend working for them unless you don't need 40 hours a week, or are offered a full-time position, and if that is the case be prepared for a heavy workload.
