Insulator

I have paid almost 15 years into a union pension plan, first it took ten years to get vested now it is five years. Since I worked at different times in that fifteen years they were not consecutive they say I am not entitled to any of it. Is there something I can do.

That doesn't sound right. I would seek legal action.

Hey Joseph, That sounds like a real bad deal. Is there a union you can reach out to at your previous job? Pensions are calculated by the cumulative amount of time working and your pay rate at the time of retirement. If the terms dictate full vestment after 10 years of service and you remained compliant then you should qualify for benefits.
