This is what i go through when applying for a job. If i know i can do the job and i applied why cant i get hired?

Hi Eric,

Thank you again for your interest in General Aviation Aircraft Services! I appreciated the opportunity we had to speak together, and I was overall impressed with your background and experience.

Although your background is impressive, upon further review, the team was unable to select you as an ideal fit for the position and current needs. We find that you are over qualified. As one of the leaders within our industry, we receive many qualified and over qualified applicants like yourself, so thank you again for taking the time to apply!

Just as we at General Aviation Aircraft Services value our customers, we value our job candidates and invite you to review future job openings on our careers page. We hope you see another position that sparks your interest in the future and wish you the best in your career pursuits!

Regards,

Michelle xxxxx HR MANAGER

I think one of the reasons you can't get hired, based on this letter is simple. They see you as over qualified, which means they are scared if they put the time into training you and you find a higher paying/better fit job, you will leave. The job market is so complex now. In my parent's generation they worked at typically 1 place for their entire lives. Now days with our generation we like to explore our options until we get the best pay and best fit. Neither one of these are wrong, but if you keep getting rejected, this is probably the reason. If you really want a specific job, you could express to them how passionate you are about it. You could stress to them how you plan on being a long time employee. I hope this gives you a different perspective.

I completely understand, one tips that worked for me is informational interviews where I can ask questions to a future employer concerns I may have about qualifications or even positions. Try it!
