Does anyone know if this is legit? "An online job that allows you to do data entry on google, facebook, twitter, snapchat, and more to earn up to 2,500 a week. No need to interview - the job is yours to start today if you want it. Finalize the details by clicking below." I receive this every so often in my email and I've been on unemployment for just over a year now and nearly ready to try almost anything. I wouldn't expect that much money weekly. Just curious...
Hi Stephanie, I completely understand the desperation. Unfortunately that's what these scammers prey on. They know that people in desperate situations lower their guard, and what's awful is that they take people who are in dire need of money and put them in an even WORSE place by scamming them out of sometimes thousands of dollars!
I know things are tough now, but please don't give up your search. I recommend that you stick to applying to jobs that are not online, this will help cut out a significant number of scams. Hi Stephanie, that sounds SUPER scammy. If you do the math, 2500/week ends up being something like $130,000 per year. Do you honestly think a company would hire someone for a $130k position without even interviewing them? I truly do not believe this is possible, and due to the "too good to be true" aspect I am absolutely certain that if you respond to this ad, you will be targeted for a scam.
