head hunters

Can anyone explain why I am receiving six phone calls from the same "head hunting" agency regarding a particular job that I have applied for. During the phone calls I have been asked to re submit my resume, up date this, up date that. Every question I have been asked has been clearly stated on my resume. Then I have been told that my resume would be forwarded to the company in question which I have applied for. At that point I would be receiving another email for a time and location for a interview. I have yet to receive a email for a interview time and location. I have sent a email to the "head hunting" company instructing them to stop all phone calls and emails unless they are sending me a interview invite with a time and location. Any thoughts any one? I am tired of people wasting my time and not reading my resume. Which by the way is clearly written and professionally completed.

Quality Inspector at Ge

I've had the same experience with some of these companies. I started to screen the calls, most of the positions were ones that I had already applied to. I wouldn't give the headhunter any info over the phone. (you just never know who the scammers are) I would tell the headhunter to send me an e-mail detailing the position and then I would apply without their "help"... I don't know how ethical that was, but in many cases these were jobs I had already applied for. I am a technician, but they were sending me engineering, teaching, or analyst postings. They may need a response quota for their job.... I've gotten interviews for some of those jobs without their help. Good luck on your job search.

I had that same problem so I just told them I have already accepted another position somewhere else and once I become available I would contact them but you have to do it by phone call. Hope that helps best of luck

Legal Sectetary Paralegal Transcription at Home Business

Thanks for the info. I just joined this site. I'm a retired legal secretary/paralegal and need to get back to work (lower capacity - lower salary - not picky). In any event, I didn't send my actual Resume as I did not want what is happening to you, happen to me, nor did I want just anyone contacting my former employment without my consent.

Just by your spoken word, I believe you would be a great employer catch. Best of luck!
