Employers that hire felons?

Is there anybody out there that hires people with felonies? I’ve been denied really good jobs just because I’m still on felony probation. And I’m not looking for a job that has no growth within the company

Well rounded journeyman carpenter

Depending on how old they are.. after 7 years you have no worries .. construction industry is where we felones used to go. 75 % of this country was built by felones.. but it'd getting tougher every day to find decent employment with a fair wage and just treatment... ..Walmart- McDonald's job core... anything in building where your not coming into contact with the public - customers or enter peeps residence is a good source..

I BELIEVE one good place to start, whether or not you are currently on parole or probation is that office. They are likely to know employers who will hire you from their experience with others. I ask you to moderate your goal. Right now, getting to paying work may be what is available for the moment. I found my birth mother on a 39 year old trail by asking questions, getting clues and asking more questions from other total strangers. It was a fabulously successful reunion for both of us. Because of being blackballed for refusing to help steal 200 million dollars, for a time I had to dig ditches, sweep floors, feed cows and do a lot of work far below what I should have been doing. Better work became available. I wish you well and great success at living a peaceful and law-abiding life.

Not sure where you from. If you live in Massachusetts. Then apply at Haartz corp. located in Acton, Ma.

You are not alone in your search @Cole Green! So many Jobcasers are in the same boat, and there are a lot of resources here that can help. Can I invite you to join the Jobcase Fair Chance To Succeed Group? It's for anyone with a background who is looking for work, and a great place to share your story and hear others. There is also a Second Chances Resource Center that may provide some answers, there are articles there that can point you towards companies that are more likely to hire folks with felonies. Let me know how else I can help! 💚

Get employed first, then continue your job search; remember that any employer is going to have trust issues with you and they will need to have ways to deal with it.

Sadly even after your probation is completed you are likely to have difficulties due to your felony record. I agree with Frank on talking to your probation office/officer as they are the best resource for jobs for people with your record since many times getting and holding a job is often a requirement of probation. I’m a firm believer in second chances however, companies don’t always feel the risk is in their best interest. I wish you the best of luck.
