Cover letters;
I would like some help on understanding about cover letter requesting; I know that when you write a cover letter ,you're supposed to direct it to somebody , name, title ,address and all that, but ,they don't provide you that information which it's required for applying how are you supposed to know? ,HELP!

Mrs. Mcginty: You have already posted in the site what are your interests and your strengths. The Cover Letter should be address to your employer, you should introduce yourself in relationship to your profession, the job you are applying for ,why you are interested in the Company, mention your expertise’s and your goals and finalize the letter with an open line of communication if further information is needed. You have templates of cover letters in Microsoft to finalize the formatting of your letter. If you are applying on line just address the letter to whom it may concern. Identify the job you are applying for, number if it has one and date.
All the best for 2016!

I always write, "Dear Hiring Authority,"

Hi Ventura, If you are really stumped and cant seem to find any information on who you should be addressing the cover letter to, you can always write "To whom it may concern" ... This is still professional and avoids any unprofessional openings.

Good suggestion from the previous reply, also if there is no information available, you can address it to the hiring manager. I would say have two, one direct and generic when you have to upload on the spot.

Hi Ventura: Happy to help you out! For the address, use the company's general location. Try to find the name of a recruiter or manager online - on Jobcase, you can search the specific company you want to apply to and see the hiring manager's name on the top right corner of the page. If you can't find any of that information, don't be afraid to call the company up and ask! Say you're writing a cover letter and you'd like to know who you should address it to. Hope this helps you out!
If I do not have all of the pertinent information from the job posting, I'll address my cover letter to the company name, then the state. Then, I direct the letter to the Hiring Manger. That has worked for me.
Hope this helps.
