Heads up for Scam...
This is from a Facebook group I am in for people looking for Work At Home jobs....
Be careful everyone! I work for a bank currently (I am trying to get a work from home job). Our security department sent out an email that says: "Fraudulent Summit Credit Union cashier’s checks are in rotation and signed by Deborah Rainer/Reiner. The scam targets individuals who applied for work from home jobs online. Once they apply, they are mailed an employment package and this package includes the fraudulent check." I just want everyone to be careful and not get scammed!
At least now you have an idea of one check you'll receive. No idea what the company is....

Oof, this sounds like the classic fake check scams! They're everywhere these days!
I highly recommend that anyone if receives a check from a stranger for a job they haven't yet started, they should immediately take it to their bank (or any bank!) to have it check out for legitimacy. When people deposit these fake checks it often takes some time for the bank to realize the check was fake, and in that time the scammer will ask for a portion of the money to be sent elsewhere. Once the victim has sent the money and the bank realizes the check was fake, the victim loses the money from the fake check (because it never existed!), loses the money they sent on, AND sometimes they're charged a fee from the bank for depositing a bad check. NEVER accept a check from a stranger online!
