This is true even in Winnipeg, Canada. You can’t get a job anywhere that pays decent if your over the age of 50. A lot of these companies should be taken to court for age discrimination.

This is very true especially Education Online, Most of these agencies are American owned having bases throughout Asia. China being number one, They are also very racist but cover it up neatly by saying. N American, Canadians, Uk and expats welcome. Only those who can legally work in America/Canada can apply. Used by VIPKids VIPJR, GOGO, and many more. They are also using fraudulent advertising by asking for Native born English speakers from N. America or Canada. officially this means English is the official 1st language of that country spoken by all or the majority of the populace. Making one a Native-born speaker of English. America's official language is not English!!!!! same as the Canadians. America does not even have an official native language.it could be German, French, Celtic, in truth it can be anything they want, but It was the English settlers who had power and guns. It is very close to English but it is a bastardization of English. both spelling and grammar differ also having different names for the same things pronunciation also differs. American is not English its Americanised form of bad English. As for Canada, Quebec's official language is French, but the province provides certain guarantees, protections and services for the English-speaking minority. The official language of all other provinces is English, except for New Brunswick, which is Canada's only province to adopt both English and French as the official native languages. maybe Facebook should be sued for Fraudulently allowing misinformation to be advertised.

Many applications will ask the year you graduated high school. What other reason could there be other than to identify your age? They're obviously discriminating!

I agree with all of you. I'm 56 able bodied and active and EARNED my nursing degree in February and am struggling to find a position. I spent 21 yrs one job...longer than some people have been alive. But, you know what us 40 and overs have work ethic, we show up to work...to work, we don't feel entitled to have a job or to whine about actually working.. I'm STICKING in here. I've WORKED too long and too hard to give up now! We just gotta be persistent and keep going!

Stamina is important to everyone not a age limit, I am 65years old I am doing heavy Earth movers equipments machinery services presently,iam not feeling strain at any time.according my concept "service is first, trading is earning is next" "

What employers do now to figure out your age is they ask when you graduated from high school. They then can deduce your age. I try to skip that question, if I can. But, most online applications require that field. It's really the companies loss. Older workers actually produce more than younger workers.
