So I worked for DirecTV technical support for nearly 5 years before being laid off after the AT&T acquisition. They laid us all off after we diligently entered and configured our information into their OS. I was top performer the entirety of my career there. I got several rewards and recognition from DirecTV when AT&T came in they recognized nothing ' unless a union steward with the CWA. I nearly lost my job over a bottle of coke that the vendor representative said I could have.. it was a huge deal... accusing me of being a thief. I can't tell you how relieved I was yesterday after reading an MSN report that AT&T is being sued for padding thier numbers. This created a false sense of security and stocks went up? Now they want to get rid of DirecTV . These CEOs need to understand the general population isn't as dumb as they think. Hopefully they can sleep well knowing in 2 years they have destroyed by thier greediness something that a majority of people loved. Good luck AT&T I will absolutely no longer do business with you. My Dad retired after 40 years. What is the point of unions? The CWA is so tainted. It's a total and complete joke. I will no longer do business with any company that was built upon the broken backs of are father's to just be shipped overseas so CEO shifty eyes can get another billion on his account .
