Positive

Even though it may seem like you are going on many interviews and fiing out many applications, dont give up. Keep tour head up and keep positive. I was lucky enough to find a job after 10 years of looking for the right opportunity, I now have been working at Family Dollar for 4 months and have earned my position as an assistant manager position. It is all about staying positive and never giving up.

That’s great news! Like you said, it may look like a thankless chore, but building your presence in the job market is a job in itself. Everybody: back to work!

Sometimes we got to keep working in jobs that pay the bills and looking at the same time. I to work as a cook and I have my master degree in HR. My background is in food service . At first of the year , you will be looking for a new job. I stay positive and keep it moving. You got to do what it takes to make in this society. Ramona

Great you can put the volunteer ship on your resume! You are going to be too good especially when you complete school! Get it girly! My eldest daughter at the age of 27 has her masters degree in liberal arts and is a teacher. Due to her math skills( calculus 1&2), I begged her to become an engineer but she had been working with kids since the age of like 14. She obtained employment right away mainly because she completed high school early. My child genius! Lol!

Why didn't you go for LCSW( licensed social worker)? It might not be too late to change your major? Welp, being that you are in school for a decent career, you will be fine. Your bachelor's degree will open several doors for you! However, write down all that I relayed within one of my posts! At times, ppl/ people with degrees don't obtain employment within the vocation they choose and with your bachelor's degree, the info I gave conveyed to you will allow you to make $15 or more an hour. Try to work with kids even if on weekends ( experience to add on your resume). Working with at risk youth / special needs population is TRULY thriving currently! Koodos for making it your goal to achieve a degree or two! Blessings!

If or since you are in college transfer your credits to capella university an online school. Get your bachelor's in human services being that you dont have a criminal history! When you graduate, go back for your master's degree in human services as an MFT ( marriage and family therapist) and you will TRULY be compensated! You can work within juvenile hall, juvenile shelters/ placements, group homes, churches etc... The jobs or places you can apply will be unlimited! Plus the $$$$ will be good! Smile!
