Thanks everyone for the encouragement sometimes it feels like no one understands the struggle of being out of work. I've worked since I was 13 yrs old and this has been very stressful. Again thanks for your time and encouragement.

Hi Lisa, I'm sorry to hear of your unemployment and interview issues you've been dealing with. Since your previous position was with the Georgia DMV, it may be difficult to find another role that matches your previous salary due to the fact that the roles are state funded (not much wiggle room for salary negotiation).

I suggest that you look for new types of administrative and clerical roles that your refined skills and experience would excel in :-) ! The great thing about administrative roles in most companies is that there is always room for career growth. Since you were previously a "Lead Title Clerk" I would search for "Administrative Manager" or "Office Manager" type roles in our Jobcase "Jobs" tab.

Here are some roles I found in the Atlanta area: http://www.jobcase.com/jobs/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&header_search_type=jobs&q=Administrative+Manager&l=Atlanta%2C+Georgia

Best of luck and keep us posted on how your search goes!!

Hi Lisa, I'm sorry to hear that you are having a tough time finding a new position. I would continue working hard in the interview process and I'm sure you will land something soon. Make sure you keep an open mind to different type of work as well. Maybe you can look into a different industry and restart your career with something you'd really like to do. You may take a pay cut from where you were a few years ago, but like you said, you are fine with that and just want to work. There could be some great openings out there in a new career that you've never thought of.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

-Mark
