Skill Levels:

1.    Lead Solder - Open torch soldering (propane torch) working with temperatures at or below 450 degrees. This is used in plumbing work.
   

2.    Braze/Silver Solder - Open torch soldering (propane torch) working with temperatures from 800 - 1200 degrees. Used in metalworking.
   

3.    Bronze Brazing - Open torch soldering (propane torch) working with temperatures of about 2000 degrees. This is for soldering machine parts.
   

4.    Steel Torch Welding - Using welding equipment for extremely high temperatures. Need protective equipment and special care for protection.
   

Our requirement for sub-assembly is at the #2, Braze/Silver Solder level. If someone has a higher skill level, they should be able to perform the lower level skills.
