In a pickle
I went out for a few weeks as a truck driver, I came home in hopes to get a local job, now I'm realizing that it's not going to happen unless I have expierence, my wife just started school and we have a child, I spoke to my wife today about going back on the road to get expierence and she flipped, idk what to do or how to go about this but I'm not going to make any money without expierence I paid a lot of money to go to the school and I'm not using what I learned, any advice? Do you think I'm being selfish for wanting to succeed and gain the expierence to make the $100,000 a year?

You are not being selfish. You are trying to provide for your family. Maybe if you explain to her that it's only temporary until you find something local, just so y'all can keep afloat, then maybe she'll understand. I'm sure she is just worried about you being so far away, which is natural. I know what you are going through. I'm a single parent, and taking care of just one person is tough, but a family? I completely get your concern. You want them to be okay no matter what you have to do. I'm looking at having to leave my son here with my parents and go out of state to find a job because I cannot find anything permanent here where we live. I do not want to leave him and I know he doesn't want me to go, but it is the right thing to do for his survival. Keep up that love for your family and I am sure it will work out in the end. Best wishes for you and your family, Randall! I'll be rooting for yall! Namaste!
