To put dates on the resume or not. .... that is the question.
I know most applications that you have to fill out require dates... so is it ok to leave the dates off an electronically submitted resume since you have to fill out the dates on the application anyway?
My history looks kinda jumpy in the last 4 years since I was laid off. But prior to Job D... I had long term positions. Job A June 2015-July 2016 ( left because I was offered a better opportunity that ended up turning into a nightmare but am leaving that job off my resume) Job B - Feb 2015-Oct 2015(worked this job and Job A simultaneously until Job A was uncooperative with scheduling me so I could maintain job B PRN) Job C June 2013-Dec 2014 ( funding for position ended when school focused money on downward expansion... position eliminated) Job D May 2008-March 2013 ( reduction in force... :( Planned to retire from here)
I had a relatively stable and long term back ground prior to Job D, but only put the last 7 years experience on my resume. And when I taylor my resume to fit the position that is being applied for... I would not mind listing some of that experience that does not fit in that guideline.
What do you suggest?

HI Cindy, Great question! l would recommend including dates. Since you have overlapping jobs, just use language that describes the situation in your first bullet. For example, "Worked night shift to maintain PRN... " It will flow nicely and shows how hard working you are. (I've done multiple jobs-at-a-time - it's really hard to do. You should be proud.) The recruiter may have questions about the timeframe(s), but that's ok. Just try to make it as clear as possible. As for needing to duplicate efforts while applying... unfortunately, you have to do what they ask on the application. The tracking systems are trying to keep lots of candidate's information organized... and they're made for employers - not the ease of the job seeker (UNFORTUNATELY!). So be patient and stay focused on your goal (finding a great job).
Good luck & let us know how it goes!! Marijoy
I agree...
