Successful participants in this program will be matched with an employer, hired at $15+ an hour, and then have the opportunity to learn and/or further develop their skills in the following areas: welding, forklift driving, mechanics, blueprint reading, metal working, painting, fiberglass or carbon fiber fabrication, sanding, boatyard help, and MORE!
Skills for Rhode Island’s Future is working with Polaris MEP and the RI Marine Trades Association to search for candidates who are looking to re-enter the workforce ASAP with a strong desire to learn & develop new hands-on skills!
Experience is not required. You will be trained.
