Will my husband be fired?
I don't know why he did this but he used his work computer to look for other jobs, mind you he has a perfectly good computer at home but he just decided to open his personal email and not only looked for open jobs but also applied to some of them using his work computer. I am paranoid about this kind of stuff, his company has a ton of rules about how they can control and see everything they do. He's the only one working for the family at the moment and now that he did that I am just worried that someone would find out. He said he erased his searches but I know that stuff is not fully gone.

Could he be fired? Depends on his employment contract
Is the history deleted? Probably not since a lot of companies have auto back up
Will they start looking to fill his position and find a reason to let him go? Probably
Hope he gets one of those jobs he applied to

I wouldn’t frett about it to much. If he is looking then things must not be going well with the company he is with. Should they fire him, you’ll have a little bit of compensation through unemployment while he finds a position that fits him and his job satisfaction! Sounds like a company that would fire him for searching for another job isn’t doing it’s due diligence to make sure there isn’t any reason their employees would look elsewhere and would be acting like tyrants retaliating. Deep breaths. Good like to your husband and his search. It’s a great climate for the employee- LOTS of job opportunities.

Depends on the person who can fire him. Most places would. Too late to say he was dumb, but he was dumb. Help him get his act together if you can.

🙏🙏🙏

Hey Clara Your husband will not be fighting for that not right now or not with the way the economy is right now and people have and a hard I'm finding people like you said hes the only employee so that company won't take action again from the looking for another job on their personal computer I do it all the time at work you know and I use my work computer and they really can't say anything that's incredible on the 1st end Your husband will not be fighting for that not right now or not with the way the economy is right now and people have and a hard I'm finding people like you said hes the only employee so that company won't take action again from the looking for another job on their personal computer I do it all the time at work you know and I use my work computer and they really can't say anything that's incredible on the 1st and 16th amendment rate of oppression sold In fact your husband could shoot them

Depends on the company and what they monitor. He'd be let go from my company

While technically there is a risk there, this is a very low-risk situation unless the company is small and has complete ****** in charge. Monitoring of employee computer use is really aimed at avoiding security risks, illegal activities, high-risk behavior (i.e. porn or racist/sexist content), and sharing confidential information. While it's a much better idea not to use company equipment for job searches, it's very unlikely that they have the time or interest in policing that.

Well, now that you told everyone….

Just say he’s looking for you.
Yes absolutely he will probably be fired companies take unauthorized internet searching of jobs very seriously. They feel like it’s a betrayal. Just sayin…
