After working diligently for four years, the city got its first unqualified audit. I had been specifically hired "to clean up the books" which had been declared as "un-auditable" by the outside audit firm contracted to audit the City's financial records as required by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. It was an extremely labor intensive achievement.

The job was also only four miles from my home which was really something to be thankful for...no hourly commutes.
