INTERVIEW: DON'T DO LIST
Interview: Don't Do List UPDATED
There are many right things to do at a job interview to get you employed. Just as important to your chances of landing you that job, the wrong things that you do, may have the very opposite effect. Here are things that you should avoid doing on your next job interview.
Don't show up late. It shows lack of organization and makes you look unreliable. Aim for 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled interview.
Arrive too early. Showing up a hour early also shows poor organization and lack of consideration for your interviewer.
Arrive unprepared. Have several copies of your resume with you, and a list of references. Find out the name of your interviewer ahead of time, use that name on the cover page of your resume.
Dress too casually. Even if they have a casual dress code, you should be smart. Dress conservatively for business.
Use bad language, slang, racial or sexist terms. There is no place for it at an interview and it is unprofessional.
Show up without questions. Do your research into the company and the position you're applying for. Have several company/job related questions for your interviewer. It's a good idea to have these written down.
Check your phone. Put it on silent before the interview, don't answer calls. Even better to just turn it off during the interview. Note: Silent/Vibration mode may distract when it goes of.
Use bad body language. Present firm handshake. Sit up straight, maintain good eye contact, don't tap foot, fingers/pen and smile thoughout the interview as appropriate.
Be controversial. Everyone has opinions on current affairs. The interview is not the place to voice them. Avoid bringing up politics or religion unless job-related.
Bad mouth your current/previous job. Your interviewer doesn't need the drama and details of what happened or why you left/you're leaving.
Ask to used the restroom. Take care of restroom visit before the interview. It is just ackward to ask to use the restroom during your interview. Or you fidgeting uncomfortably in your seat because you need to go...
Lie on your resume. The truth has ways of revealing itself and could jeopardise your interview or later on, your employment.
Hound or nag your interviewer. They have a process they need to adhear to, including other candidates to interview. Be patient.
Bring up salary. If the interviewer doesn't discuss it, don't bring it up until the job offer is made.
Forget to follow up. Must send thank you note as soon as possible after the interview. Follow up, as appropriate with hiring manager.

Those factors are the outcome on how the interview goes effectively and successfully.

Time to run your own business and stop the stereotype dress code of conduct.

Words of wisdom for all!

It is alot of those mishaps that individuals bring when being interviewed like salary information before being hired, that information needed investigation before applying. If you state negativity about your formal and current employer then you might be labled as unrealistic ,and causing conflicts.
