My Disney World Experience

Hey all - thought I’d share an experience I had as a child at Disney World..

I was probably around 5 or 6 years old, and was there with my family. At some point in the day, we split up. I went with my mom, and my brother went with my dad to go on rides I wasn’t able too yet. So we ended up in what I remember to be some kind of theater, getting autographs from Winnie the Pooh characters. Tigger came over, and my mom asked him to sign our park map.. But we had no table or anything. So he used jokingly used her forehead… and I promptly burst into tears. I don’t remember why, but I was completely inconsolable and would not stop crying.

They asked me who my favorite character was, and I said Eeyore. A minute or two later, Eeyore comes out and gives me a big hug and an Eeyore hat (with accompanying floppy ears) so I could be just like him for the rest of the day. I don’t remember much from that trip, but I do remember that memory.

Looking back, I think about how wonderful it was that they went out of their way to make me feel better, and to make sure I had a good time there. So to all cast members and Disney employees, no matter what you did at Disney - it makes a difference, and thank you for making a magical, welcoming world!
