Unfortunately that is the world we live in now. There are some places that still to applications in person, but very few. I have heard bank managers prefer people to come in person than applying online

I can relate. Feel alone in this arena. Wanted to beef up my resume had someone do it for me for $95.00 and it was not professional. Uneven indents, etc. Even emailed to have it critiqued and they said the same. I ventured to do my own on a site called My Perfect Resume. Well it was VERY easy for a computer illiterate person like me. Then comes where the margins are not 1" talk to a gut on the phone that I have to stretch my ear to understand... 3 hours later in Office Depot where I (almost lost it) product done. Okay....then comes 1st application to be up loaded on computerrands only they ask me to copy and paste. SHOOT ME NOW!!!!. Now I am on phone with son (the only one who has patience) Still nothing. Decide to put computer up before I break it! I do know how to watch movies on it, surf the Web after all. Now I am dragging the computer back to Office Depot. FIndiana out that I can't copy and paste in that formate on a different page...something like that! All I heard was hope. As I am grumbling about the world going too fast the Manager comes up and saved me without judging me and was empathetic. She did it! She went on to tell me about her own mom who is 8 years younger! Well there is hope! Then she tells me that copy and paste is older than upload! A couple of years ago I tried to turn in resume and they told me sternly that is not done anymore. Talk about a slap in the face! Well I have 20 copies know how to upload from PDF file and send. Life is good for now!
