The toughest part about landing a job right now is...
Ageism. I have been searching for a job as a Registered Nurse for over 8 months now and while recruiters will call and say that they will call me back, I never hear from them. Someone needs to look into the practice of ageism in nursing.

I don't like the fact that they require the year you graduated from High School on the resume. I thought it was discriminatory to ask for age...is this just how they step around that rule?

Ageism is more prevalent than sexism. As a 70+ year old, numerous times, after addressing the year of my high school graduation, the prospective interviewer, abruptly hangs up the phone. I never hear from them again. This has taken place at least seven (7) times over the past 3 months.
Clearly no one has the resources it would take to challenge this question, legally.
