I have recently transitioned to remote work due to closure of the small business I work for. A few things that I found companies will require before they allow you to work remotely:

• Updated security/antivirus software
• Access to a secure WiFi network
• Firewall protection
• A safe, company approved storage solution
• Access to remote collaboration software (Google Docs, Dropbox, Trello, etc.)
• Reliable computer or laptop
• A dedicated space to work efficiently
• Ability to organize and motivate yourself

Make sure you are familiar with these things before heading into a remote job! It’ll pay off!
