I used to walk into a place and ask to talk to HR people and after talking to me they realized I was smart, dressed well, and was a likable person, I was an IT dept director but I have varied experience. I worked in construction, restaurants, and most recently IT. I had more customer service awards at home depot in my first year than many have in 8 years... Now they all just say apply online and you have to fill out your previous employment even though all the info is in your resume, you need to re-enter it a second time. SOME employers are better as they fill in the forms from your resume and ask for more info but many do not do that. I am looking for anything in Milwaukee right now. I NEED to work.
