Frustrated
A couple months ago I was so excited to hear back from UNC and went in for an interview (after the phone interview). The HR manager was very impressed and scheduled me to come in and observe the following week! She wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the job and was a good fit for the team. I was so thrilled! I came in about 15 minutes early and was asked to sit in the waiting room. A man (who I had never met before ) asked me to step back in one of the offices. He told me I wouldn't be observing and that the Hiring manager was fired. I was confused and asked him what this meant for me. He told me I wouldn't have to start the hiring process over and to send him my resume via email. As soon as I got home I sent him an email. I thanked him for his time and attached my resume and cover letter. He never responded. I called him a few days later and sent him another email. I still received so response. On top of being upset, I am embarrassed. No one notified me prior to showing up to observe. I was simply sent home.

That's really strange. Did he say he was HR, or was he just some random person? It just seems really odd.

Hey Kim you're not hired. You don't have the job and you have no redress. Just keep applying for jobs till you get one. There is nothing left to do. I've been offered a position once and the HR manager was promoted to a higher level on the Regional Level. I reported on my first day only to find out that she never processed my paperwork. This was a $19 hr job OK? But I was told to reapply and I will be called. Well that was in 2014. Go figure.... Keep on trucking baby. Eddie Kendrick said it before me. You gotta keep on trucking baby. Get up get it behind you and dig in for the next fight. You've been told.
