cautious

there is a fraud/scam that I came across. I just wanted to let people know bout. They claim to be a business looking to hire an office administrator, and they came across my resume online and wanted to interview. If hired, training $17 and hour. and $19 and hour when fully trained. There doing everything over the phone. They say there expanding offices in your city and at first you will be working out of your home for bout 3 months, and then move to the office when the location is approved. they say there gonna pay for ur equipment that u need to buy, they asked if I wanted a direct deposit or check. I choose check and they emailed me a check to do a (MOBILE DEPOSIT). they want to see that u deposited (screen shot) it into ur account and funds r available so you can purchase ur office equipment through there vendor of choice. I brought it to my banks attention, cuz I don't need any trouble or problems. but I did want it to be legit, so I can have a good job and pay some bills. And of course if you look up the company and the person there representing it exists and the person exists. but the check is (NO GOOD). of course. These are tough times and just wanted to put this out there so u can be aware and be careful bout giving out ur personal info.

Hi everyone I too was almost a victim to these scams, Unfortunate for them they did not know who they was dealing with. I myself was a Commercial Arts student in my high school (vocational school) which if you don't know what that means its essentially Graphic Arts mostly Advertisement we made everything from T - Shirts to Coffee Mugs to even Billboard Advertisements but the main programs we used was Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, & In Design) and the main thing we were taught and learned in our experience was how to spot a Fake pic or altered image from a mile away here's a picture of the most recent scam these people your speaking of attempted to get me in its a picture of a piss poor excuse to make a FAKE Check (if u cant tell already) look at the edges of the picture those bold black lines on the outside those are marks made by a copy machine or scanner. With Microsoft word they can type your name onto a piece of paper cut out the words then once they've copied a check they've already had or even scan it into a computer they can then type what ever they want on there sometimes even change the company name and or Logo, place what ever banks name they so choose so you may even get a check from a entirely different bank then the check number.... now this guy who was offering me a payroll errand job supposedly just gonna put money into my account and have me take my cut ($240) then disperse the rest to various other people supposedly on his payroll well first off the check is BS even a monkey can see that second I went to school for digital editing of photos and images, third I researched the company even called the number on their website and its not even a transport company its installation (BIG DIFFERENCE) not to mention the address is one digit off its 250 not 260 and lastly if you look to the right of the image there's letters and shapes that should not be there, now for the more advanced scam artists and I almost fell for it but someone offered me a cleaning job said they'd pay me in advance to get cleaning supplies with 1st weeks pay then mailed me a check that looked Legit AF like to the point it almost fooled me put luckily i knew someone with the same bank and i asked if i could see one of their checks to compare and they were almost identical except the fact that the designs were a tad bit blurry then an original which indicates that it was copied and photo shopped most likely also i researched the company the bank and called both just to be sure cus even the people who make them have the occasional miss print somewhere which is what most people think at 1st so my advice if you get a check in the mail or thro mobile pay or something of that nature be sure to Research, Compare, make phone calls to make sure the checks are real the company and banks are real (which 9 of 10 times are do to their research) but to also make sure the account tied to the check/ company hasn't been compromised and also to see if that branch of bank is still at that location or if they've had the issue before and how recent anything you can do to help with a police report helps one step closer to catching these A$$ holes If you have any questions about if a check is or looks fake you may email me at jordanr22390@gmail.com with Fake? as the subject and a picture of the check u can cover the account info so u can be assured i wont rob your accounts I'm just sharing my experience and trying to help those in need like myself. with that being said if anyone happens to find a legit work at home job and can refer me I'd appreciate it, I didn't take my commercial arts skills anywhere and ended up in construction which has taken a toll on me physically so I'm trying to find work where i don't have to do a lot of hard labor. Hope This Helps you All everyone be safe and god bless your journey

Seems to be a ton of these bastards out there. Especially on craig's list. One such person goes by the name David S. Maddux. I use more than one email address, so he obviously didn't realize that I had dealt with him not more than 2 weeks prior, and called him out on his bs. Now, with a second set of emails, I am going to the authorities, and see what can be done.

Thank you so much! I'd love to find my job working at home. And because of this I'm scared to work from home because I don't know who is real and who is really a scam. I am glad that you found it out before they could take anything from you. I just pray that no one else has been scammed through them.
