"Apply on our website." -- Recruiter-ese for "get lost"?
I've always wondered about this. Actually get someone to answer the phone and talk to you, and this is the usual response. Is it simply Recruiter-ese for "shut up and leave me alone"?

Interesting question Mark! Unfortunately I think many companies are only doing online applications. I don't think we can be sure of the reasons, but some of it may be for ease of organization. Though many also use a sorting system online that will actually show them the resumes that may work best for their needs. Believe me when I say you are not alone with your feelings about online applications!
