I was let go from the company I worked for after a year of successfully managing the account and the reason given at time of termination was "not being a good fit" . I received acknowledgements for my good work from the President and CEO of the company two weeks prior to my release. Prior to my release I expressed concerns of harassment I had been receiving, fomal complaints. I Was told it was being looked into however this was not mentioned until the day of my release. The state of Texas is an at will state however, I feel this was an adverse action to my complaints. I had to move out of my home and sell all my stuff while on unemployment. What steps can i take at this point ? ( excuse typos done from cell phone)

I would seek out your labor board. Every state has laws that protect employees that are "whistleblowers" possibly even seek out an attorney for a free consult, or even a few to get different insight. Its free legal advice that could lead you in the right direction. If you have a letter of commendation, then in my personal opinion, say it was a wrongful termination. Good luck

Hi my name is Tracey, are you located in memphis,tn if so im interested

Get a lawyer and sue. Keep looking and you will be blessed. Everything happens for a reason. Usually when a situation happens like that something better comes. You probably should apply for food stamps residential assistance, medicaid, and state aid until you can get back on your feet.

See a lawyer, explain your situation, good luck

Call labor board and let them know get laywer and see about unlawful termination based on harrassed to complaints

Sorry to hear about your termination; that sucks. Something similar happened to me and my last employer. I would suggest contacting Better Business Bureau, or posting a review on a site like Glassdoor. It's awful the way companies abuse the "at-will" clause, especially when its due to the bruised ego of managers and just want the employee out of their hair.
Other potential ways to expose them: write a letter/email to the CEO explaining the situation. Don't expect a response or any confirmation that they've read it, and any actual change within the company isn't guaranteed. You could also contact a newspaper or local TV station with your story.
If you do choose to "fight back" be ready... companies have entire legal teams ready to take you on. If you don't have a lawyer, this can make the situation worse and become overwhelming, at least in my experience.
I wish you luck, and know that you're not alone in unethical termination.
